The Delta Gold is a great entry-level option for travelers who fly Delta a few times a year. The free checked bag, priority boarding, and credits can easily justify the modest annual fee, especially in the first year. However, it doesn’t help much with Status, and doesn't have  the premium perks of the Platinum or Reserve.

If you want simple savings and occasional perks without a big commitment, the Delta Gold is a smart choice.
